I am slowly working on making our new house a home. Like a lot of newer homes, we have the dreaded bi-fold doors in our upstairs hallway. One set opens to the laundry and the other to a closet. They came with those boring wood knobs attached. When it come to home decor I believe that it is the little touches that make the biggest impact. An inexpensive way to add interest to boring builder-grade doors is to switch out the door knobs.
Here are the knobs that came with the home. Yawn.
I have been hunting around for the perfect knobs for our Charleston home. Naturally, I had something nautical in mind.
I found these charming octopus knobs and knew they would be perfect.
In less that 10 minutes, I removed the old knobs and installed the octopus knobs. Easy.
It instantly makes the doors appear more expensive and adds interest to the longest hallway ever.
