Hello All!
I am bringing out the paper for this project. Paper is an amazing medium to work with. It is versatile, inexpensive and easy to obtain. I have realized that I love creating wreaths. Last year I made a paper wreath created from book pages. Today I am going to show you how to make a wreath of paper circles, paint and hot-glue. White and Gold look great all year long and especially during the holidays.
DIY Painted Paper Wreath
Here I what I used to create this little beauty.
- Wreath template
- Paper Circles
- Gold Craft Paint
- Hot-glue gun
- Scissors
My first step was to line a layer of white circles on the wreath base. I attached them with hot-glue. Then, I created a gold wash with gold paint and water. I applied the gold wash on the part of each paper circle.
Once I painted about 70 circles it was time to make little cones. With scissors, I cut a line in the center of each paper circle. I folded one side of the cut paper on top of the other side to create a cone. I attached the cones with hot-glue.
After I created about 40 of these cones it was time to work on the layout of the wreath. I played around with it for awhile and determined that 2 rows of cones was a really pretty look.
This little pretty lady will be hanging up during the holidays.
If you liked this wreath you might want to check these out.
I hope you enjoyed this project.
