I am no stranger to huge cocktail rings. Costume Jewelry is my friend and an easy way to spice up an outfit. I am always on a lookout for new pieces. What do you do when you find and awesome cocktail ring but the ring is too big?
DIY Cocktail Ring Re-Sizing
You guys know how much I enjoy thrift store shopping. Well, I met eyes with this little fox ring at a a local thrift store. It is hard to pass up a rhinestone incrusted fox ring for $1.99. Who has that kind of willpower? The only problem was that it was 3 sizes too big. I still purchased my little friend.
Time for a ring hack.
Once home, I heated my hot glue gun up and applied a layer of hot glue around the inside of the ring.
I would not recommend this technique for real jewelry. Once the glue is dry, try on the ring to see how it fits. If the ring is still too big, simply apply another coat of glue. If you apply to much, just peel it off once it is dry and start over.
Pretty easy! Next time you are about to pass up a cute little ring, ask yourself, is it time for a ring hack?

That ring is too freaking adorable. Unfortunately, I have chubby fingers so rings being too big is usually not my issue!
