Hi Friends,
I had the pleasure of attending beautiful a wedding on Folly Beach last weekend. I was excited to get dressed up and spend some time out with my husband. I knew that I wanted to wear my pink flamingo dress, but did not have a handbag that would go with it. I love wristlets, especially for weddings and parties. It is an easy way to keep up with your key essentials. After visiting a few shops and not finding what I needed, I decided that I was going to have to make my own wristlet.
Transform a Cosmetic Bag into a Wristlet Purse
I picked up this cute cosmetic bag from Forever 21 for under $6. Yes, I secretly still shop there.
To assemble the wristlet, I used silver necklace cord, jewelry pliers and beads from a broken necklace.
I cut a piece of necklace cord about 12 inches long. I wrapped one side of the silver necklace cord around the zipper hole with the pliers to secure the cord to the bag. Then, I strung the beads on the cord until it was the perfect size to wrap around my wrist. I wrapped the remaining cord around the zipper hole and clamped the end with the pliers.
It is basically like having a bracelet attached to your purse.
It is simple, easy and pretty.
I think that it look great with my dress too!
XOXO Carmody
