Hi Friends!
Happy Thanksgiving week Y’all!!! I have so many other things that I need to do. Sometimes when I am overwhelmed with tasks, I have to sit down and work on a simple project. So, with my “to-do” list growing, I decided to create book page garland.
Here are the simple facts on my book page garland. It is free… It is easy to make… and it is really pretty. You all know I love creating with paper and book pages in particular. I love how I can put this up for the holidays, but keep it up all through the year.
Book Page Garland
Materials
- Old Book
- coffee or tea
- Black Sharpie
- Gold Sharpie
- Ribbon
I had an old book that had coffee stains all over the pages and that it when I came up with this project.
I tore out the book pages and soaked them in a cup of decaf coffee.
I accidentally purchased decaf and needed something to do with it, right?
Once the pages were dry, I cut then into triangles.
Then my son, Knox, and I started drawing on the pages with black and gold sharpies.
I love when he wants to create and draw with me.
Once we had enough decorated book pages, I sewed each page onto a piece of ribbon.
If you don’t have a sewing machine you could hot-glue the pages onto the ribbon.
If you like this project then you need to check out my Book Page Wreath.
I hope you enjoyed this project !

How lovely! I love book crafts but hate destroying books so they really have to be falling apart before I can bring myself to chop them up!
I also love the great use for decaf coffee!
