Have you guessed that I am really into Pink Flamingos right now? The other day I showed y’all my Pink Flamingo Pumpkin and today I have another DIY Pink Flamingo project for you. I have shared some of my previous Halloween Costumes, but this might be my favorite so far. Here we go friends, my costume for Halloween 2014….

DIY Pink Flamingo Costume

So, this is really a simple idea that is based around a pink dress. There are some standout elements to this costume, yeah… I am talking about the hat. I picked up a cardboard top-hat at a craft store. I had an extra pink flamingo head/neck from my pumpkin project earlier this week. I attached that sucker to the top of the hat with hot glue and painted the hat pink.

I added little black paint for the eyes and on the rim of the hat. Then I used a hot-glue gun to attach feathers all over the top. You never can have enough feathers on a costume. You you don’t like standing out in a crowd the this is not the hat for you.

Pink Flamingo Costume Feather Bib Necklace

I made this bib necklace with felt, ribbon and thread. I created a circle and feathers out of different shaded of felt.

I arranged the felt feathers on the felt circle and stitched them together. I repeated this with different colors of feathers.

I also love it because it is not attached and can be removed. Have you ever went out somewhere dressed in a costume then randomly ended up in a place where you feel uncomfortable dressed like a bird? No; well me neither….but it is nice to have the option.

So, if you see a crazy lady with in a Pink Flamingo Costume this Halloween say “Hi”.
